As it turns out, October 12th is celebrated as National Fossil Day here in the United States. Such fun! The National Parks Service has a special website set up for the occasion, which includes a number of ideas about how you and yours can celebrate National Fossil Day in true paleontologist style. You can check it out here. There are plenty of great ideas for activities both around home and out in the field, so to speak.
